American Farmer parboiled rice is a premium quality US No 1 grade rice. The rice has a long slender grain with a golden colour when uncooked. The rice cooks up soft and fluffy. The grains remain separate when cooked, ideal for rice pilaf.

Culinary Applications
  • Ideal for rice pilafs, rice and beans, Greek side dishes, fried rice.
Preparation and Cooking Instructions
  • Step 1: Bring water or stock to boil.
  • Step 2: Stir in rice, salt and butter (if desired). (1 lb rice to 1.18 l of liquid, 1 tbsp salt, 2 tbsp butter)
  • Step 3: Cover with a tight fitting lid. Cook over low heat until most of the liquid is absorbed (about 20 minutes).
  • Step 4: Remove from heat. Transfer immediately to shallow pan(s). Fluff with a fork.
