How to Make Snow Ice: Step by Step - Snow Ice Distributor Canada

 

Flavored Snow Ice Powder Mix

Use this recipe if you want to create snow ice with our pre-mixed flavored snow ice powder. Available flavors include: Strawberry, Mango, Matcha Green Tea, Taro, and Milk.

What:

200 g (1¼ cups) flavored snow ice powder mix

100 g (½ cup) sugar

825 ml (3½ cups) warm milk (around 70° C/158° F)

825 ml (3½ cups) cold milk

How:

  1. Pour the warm milk in a big container.
  2. Slowly add snow ice powder mix and sugar to the warm milk. Mix with a hand held blender thoroughly for about 1 - 2 minutes. Make sure the powder and sugar are completely dissolved.
  3. Add the cold milk and mix again.
  4. Pour the mixture into a stainless steel ice cube container and set until cool.
  5. Place the container into the Snow Ice Machine and freeze for about 5 - 6 hours. (Other brands or types of snow ice machine might take 12 hours or longer)
  6. After freezing, remove the ice container from Snow Ice Machine and place in room temperature water. Turn the container back and forth until the snow ice block loosens from the container.
  7. Remove the ice block and put into a plastic bag. Store in a chest freezer for at least 1 hour before serving.

*Minimum freezer temperature is -25° C/-13° F. 

Snow Ice Base Powder + Flavoring Syrup

If you would like to create your own flavor of snow ice and prefer a fruity taste, using snow ice base powder with flavoring concentrated syrup is your way to go.

What:

200 g (1¼ cups) base snow ice powder

130 g (½ cup) concentrated flavoring syrup

1650 ml (7 cups) warm milk (around 70° C/158° F)

How:

  1. In a big container, slowly pour base powder to warm milk.
  2. Mix with a hand held blender thoroughly for about 1 - 2 minutes. Make sure the powder is completely dissolved.
  3. Wait until the mixture cools down. Add syrup and stir well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a stainless steel ice cube container.
  5. Place the container into the Snow Ice Machine and freeze for about 5 - 6 hours. (Other brands or types of snow ice machine might take 12 hours or longer)
  6. After freezing, remove the container from Snow Ice Machine and place in room temperature water. Turn the container back and forth until the snow ice block loosens from the container.
  7. Remove the ice block and put into a plastic bag. Store in a chest freezer for at least 1 hour before serving.
