As you may be aware that cones generally break easily when shipped via couriers such as Canpar, UPS, Purolator, Canada Post, Fedex etc. within Canada. We ship across Canada and want to serve all of our awesome Canadian customers. Joy Cone Company’s taste and quality is superior to all others. Below are a few areas in which Joy’s unique baking formula sets us apart from our competitors:

• High grade blend of cake and pastry flours vs. straight pastry flour
• Dark brown sugar vs. white sugar plus molasses
  • Sweeter Taste
  • Molasses occurs naturally in brown sugar
    BUT
  • Artificially adding molasses produces a burnt/bitter aftertaste
• Less shortening
  • Shortening reduces shelf life and causes cone to lose fresh taste/smell
  • Shortening increases fragility

FIBER

• Dramatically increases strength and reduces breakage!

Waffle Cones have a very high sugar content, even higher than sugar cones. This makes them very fragile. We compensate for the natural fragility in the following ways:

• Special foam packaging
• Much lower shortening content
• Since introducing fiber, we have experienced a truly dramatic reduction in breakage. In fact, breakage has been reduced to such an extent, that it has become a non-issue.

Joy waffle cones are the strongest and best-tasting waffle cones in the market. In addition, our waffle cones are designed for better portion control. This is due to the sharper angle of our cones which causes a higher portion of the serving to be prominently visible.
