- Use to prepare gravies for your favourite meat and side dishes. Ideal for beef sandwiches, meatloaf and French fries.
- For 1 pint of gravy: melt 3 tablespoons of shortening in a sauce pan and add 5 tablespoons of flour, mix to smooth paste. Dissolve 3 teaspoons of gravy base in 20 fl oz of boiling water, then slowly add this to above paste while stirring. Stir till smooth and cook to desired consistency. Gallon batch: 3 oz of gravy base, 11 oz shortening, 9 oz flour, 1 gallon boiling water.
